Position Description:

  • The position reports directly to the COO administering the business operations of the firm and ensuring high quality client delivery.
  • Brief senior leadership on technical progress, issues, and problem areas, as well as financial performance of entire portfolio of work.
  • Establish standard and support Project Manager execution of project performance management, risk management, requirements analysis and quality assurance activities.
  • Support business development activities by sharing business intelligence gathered during client delivery; contracts administration; personnel management, training and recruiting; and financial reports and forecasting.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Must have experience in running large, complex programs, staff development and leadership, and client relationship management in the federal services sector.
  • Must be capable of effectively managing client delivery staff and working closely with Business Development staff and senior leadership to ensure superior client satisfaction and leverage client relationships to support capture of new work.
  • Familiarity with various contract types used in federal consulting including FFP, T&M, and CPFF.
  • Ability to analyze current processes and identify ways to optimize business operations.
  • Must be a self-starter with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience working with teams and multiple departments across a company is highly desirable.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Prepare briefing materials for Program Management Reviews for senior leadership
  • Proactively address issues identified by the client and drive progress toward successful resolution
  • Ensure contractual compliance with all administrative requirements imposed by the contract
  • Assist the PM by providing input and quality assurance for contract deliverables
  • Identify measures to reduce staff turn over
  • Optimize process workflows effecting better business practices through identification and recommendation of process improvements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to interact professionally and communicate effectively with executives, managers, and Business Development Unit leads

Security Clearance Level Required:

  • Ability to obtain a secret security clearance
